Hello hello,
As we limp into the final week of 2020, I am ready to create a pillow fort in preparation for 2021.
Where ever in the world you are, and however you celebrate the end of 2020, I hope you have a safe and enjoyable time and all the best for the coming year!
So for me 2021 is going to kick off in a very awesome way.
January 1st will see the opening of the Lucy Goosey Women’s Art Collective – Inaugural Show. Just what is the Lucy Goosey Women’s Art Collective?
As our bio reads… The Lucy Goosey Women’s Art Collective was formed in 2019. Bringing together creative women living in the Banyule/Darebin/Moreland areas, supporting and encouraging their creative practice. A small yet expanding group of women meet regularly to discuss both the historical and current role of women in the arts aimed at expanding opportunities for women in the art sector. This will be Lucy Goosey Women’s Art Collective’s inaugural exhibition.
(Also if you want to join the collective – just sing out! Everyone is welcome in our art gang. During lockdown we were meeting online for a chat and sketch, but now that restrictions have eased, our in person catch ups will resume soon!)
The other exhibition I will be involved in at Incube8r. I have a piece being shown as part of the ‘Play’ exhibition that runs from 14th-27th January at the Prahran store. I keep throwing my ideas of what I am doing for this one out the window, so sadly there is no sneak preview of what I will be showing (unless I shove my camera into my ear and attempt to photograph my brain). Also – if you pop past the Prahran store at the moment, check out the current exhibition: Photographique Noire: A Solo Show which is currently on the walls there.
So 2021 is going to kick off for me in a very exciting and wonderful way (hooray!)
I hope 2021 has the same level of joy and excitement for you as well.
Cheers, Georgia
