Newsletter: January Art-Ing

Hello hello,

A huge welcome to 2018! I hope the year has kicked off to a delightful start for you all!
For me, and my wonderful art adventures – 2018 is looking quite excellent. Things have been happening at my studio – and until they get a little more along in the plans – apologies they will remain the vague notion of ‘things and stuff’.

BUT! I do have exciting exhibition news!

Firstly, some of my snails are heading to a library near you! Well, if you live near the Mulgrave library. I am just waiting of some smaller details – namely, when in 2018 they will be going up, but I believe it should be during the early part of the year! I am pretty excited about my art being exhibited in a library for mainly two reasons. Firstly, I adore libraries and have spend way too many hours of my life lurking in them and secondly, some of the most awesome people I know work in libraries so in some round about way in my brain, my art hanging in a library is kinda like me getting to hang out with these awesome folks!

The other exciting exhibition news is a little short noticed – but sometimes that is how life rolls! The opportunity for me to show some of my art at one of my all time favourite places to exhibit, at Incube.8r Gallery. Not only is it one of my fav places to exhibit, its also my go to place for gifts. The exhibition is part of their ‘Almost Solo’ exhibitions – with the topic of this one being ‘Lost and Found’. What am I exhibiting? It is a little series I have been working on and one of the paintings has my new all time fav title I have ever given to a painting “It was not a good day for Kevin” – which is the image above.

Opening night is this Thursday 25th (apologies for the super short notice!) from 6-8pm. The exhibition runs until the 7th February and Incube.8r is located at 321 Smith Street, Fitzroy. Details can be found here.
