Hello hello,

Spring is finally here, hooray! A lot has been happening in my little world of art and photography.

Work continued on the creating of images based on the show: Death by Soprano. Working with the talented soprano Isabel Hertaeg, in the last month we have ventured up a mountain, into water and off to Luna Park all in the name of art (see above and below for a few of the behind the scenes shots!) For details of the show, which is currently playing at the Speigeltent (last show is tonight) as part of the Fringe please check out: www.deathbysoprano.com

Are you in Fitzroy on a Saturday in September / October? Then come on past and say hello to me at the Rose Street Artist market. Prints / photography and paintings are all available to purchase

At the end of October I am packing up my bat and ball and leaving Melbourne for a year (ish plus) to go on an Australia-wide photography adventure. This means I will be packing up my art, so this seems like the perfect time to have a studio sale.
If you have a blank bit of wall – this is an excellent time to pick up a bargain! I have artist proofs, paintings, slightly not-perfect artwork and other exciting odds and sods on offer.
The details are:
637 Brunswick Street, North Fitzroy.
2pm – 8pm
Thursday October 23rd.
(If you are fan of facebook, a facebook event can be found here.)
This is also a chance to take a sneak peak at some of the work that I have been working on that will not be exhibited until 2015.

Back in May, I made some art that was available at a fundraiser to help Lisa-Skye to get to the Edinburgh Fringe (if you are keen some of it on your walls, get in touch directly with Lisa-Skye as I am not sure which is still available). Now having returned from adventures overland, the show Art, Sex and Snacks kicked off this week as part of the Fringe. It is now running (last show is tonight) and I suggest folks check it out! Details can be found here.

A wonderful day long event, held at Ceres Environment Park, Brunswick on the 16th October (2am until 8pm). Head along and have the change of winning one of my prints as a raffle prize. It is a fantastic day chock-a-block with events.

So, that pretty much seems to sum up what is happening in my little world of art and photography. Actually there are a few other exciting things a-happening, which involves dark rooms, pin hole cameras and oil paint (not all at the same time, that would just cause one big hell of a stinking mess!) but details will be announced in the coming months.

Cheers,
Georgia
