“Taiji.” – Solo exhibition

2012

Showing at: Obscura Gallery, East St Kilda, Melbourne, Victoria

Georgia is passionate about animal rights and environmental issues. Taiji Japan is a body of photographic work that documents the dolphin captivity and slaughter that occurs in the small fishing village, Taiji, in the Wakayama region of Japan. These photographs provide insight into the slaughter and captivity of dolphins that is prevalent in Japan. In this series Georgia aims to empower the viewer to take a stance on the inhumane treatment of these highly intelligent and social creatures.
