Welcome to my first newsletter of 2015, detailing my little art, photography and mischief adventures.
Firstly – I hope 2015 has kicked off well for you all.
Currently I am in Adelaide, preparing to bump in an exhibition as part of the Fringe Festival. This is the first time I have exhibited as part of any of the Fringe festivals, and I am just a little bit excited about being part of such a wonderful program. The details of the exhibition can be found here.
The wonderful soprano, Isabel Hertaeg will also be preforming as part of the fringe. If you find yourself in town when she is preforming, come along, you will not be disappointed! Tickets can be obtained here.
In my art and photography life, all is going well as a nomadic artist. I built a portable darkroom the other day whilst beside the Murray River. I am just waiting to get out of Adelaide and I can start working on a few photography plans that I have.
It appears that this is the month that all my work is in the exciting new pipeline, when plans are starting to come together and those who are around me get to listen to me rant about things and wave my hands with excitement as I describe how the work is coming along. My apologies for the vague-ness of this, all I can say is I am working on a range of new projects and hope to be able to share the details with you soon. I promise next month, there will be exciting announcements.
A few months back I spent time at the Bush Babies Wildlife Shelter in Cockatoo. I was there photographing some of the animals that are under Leanne’s care. I am helping to run a fundraiser to help Bush Babies Wildlife Shelter buy a new rescue vehicle. Below is one of the images from the day – this is Sarge’s foot. (All donations get an image as a thank you!) Details about the fundraiser and how you can help can be found here.
I hope you all enjoy February.
