Hello,
A lot has been happening in my little art world. Which is always a good way of making a very-happy-Georgia. (I may be a little biased, but I am very fond of a very-happy-Georgia!)
So what is the end result of these months of me squirreling away in my warehouse? Well some paintings are finished, some paintings are still in my head, and some paintings are in the middle of the old waiting-for-paint-to-dry before I can work on them more! There has been a pause on the printmaking front – mainly because I am having a fun time painting! I became a little obsessed with snails! Are snails the new birds? Time will tell!! I also started procrastopainting… which means at least whilst I am procrastinating building a darkroom paintings are happening! I think this is how the whole snail obsession came about. So, all in all, there has been much art-ing in my world.
I am pretty chuffed to announce that my art and I will be appearing at the next RAW ART showcase in Melbourne. The showcase – FIXATE, is on the 29th June. What is a RAW showcase you ask? It is a delightful event filled with performers, musicians, visual artists and a whole range of other talented people sharing their skills with the world! I popped along to the last one – and it was delightful.
For tickets, please click here! Please nominate my name when you purchase a ticket – thanks.
Where else can you see my art – well, currently RAW is it. Other things are in the pipeline, and will be announced in the coming months.
Until then, onwards and upwards, and I must return to my studio to continue painting.
Cheers, Georgia.
