Hello hello,
Spring has sprung in Australia, which makes me quite happy to know seeing as I will be arriving back home in a few days.
My two month artlock down in Berlin has come to an end – and what an amazing and wonderful time it has been. The day before I left, I sat down and tried to sum it all up in a little ramble – posted below.
So what does the upcoming month hold for me:
* Artwork on mine will be being exhibited in the 69 Smith Street, ‘Book and Bag’ exhibition – opening later this month
* Finishing off the final details of the art works that I completed during my artlockdown (currently my paintings are rolled up in a roll, being stored at the Hong Kong airport. It did make me giggle that someone in the check-in queue with me, did point out to me that it looked like I was travelling with a corpse) – details of where and what is happening with these 40+ pieces of artwork will happening in the future.
* and finally – after 4 months away – I plan to spend a large amount of time in September, patting my dog.
Hope you all have a wonderful September as well.
Cheers,
Georgia

UPCOMING EXHIBITION:

‘BOOK IN A BAG’
69 SMITH STREET

Running from Wednesday 25th September until Sunday October 13th
Opening Night: Saturday September 28th 4pm -7pm

A group show of artworks inspired by a paired book and bag. My book was ‘Life on Earth’ and a bread bag.
I feel my book is one well travelled 2.2kg book and it was a pretty interesting read (do not ask why I selected such a big mystery book when I picked my bag!). Hope you come along and see hat I ended up with!

Gallery: 69 Smith street, Fitzroy.

ARTLOCKDOWN

My artlockdown was for the last 2 months. I thought I better sum up just some of the things which have been running though my brain.
My ramble can be found here: GEORGIA’S RAMBLE!!

(Image above: this is what my artlockdown was looking like at about the half way point. )
