I have evolved my own unique drawing style that is informed by gestural and contour techniques and the starkness of scientific and microscopic diagrams. I’ve become captivated by negative space and linear forms. Here lines and negative space are the only elements yet they carve out a weirdly accurate yet abstract clutter of chairs. All destined for landfill these are our future microplastics. Portraying and creating with refuse allows me to process the eco grief I am experiencing and am reminded of as these chairs continue to litter my everyday suburban environment.
